New Achievements in Institutional Innovation Chongqing Launches the Seventh Batch of Best Practice Cases for the Free Trade Zone

To leverage the role of the pilot free trade zones as a comprehensive platform for national reform and opening up, to accelerate the formation of more high-level, open, and symbolic achievements, and to promote Chongqing in building a new highland of reform and opening up with national influence, the China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee recently issued the "Notice on Replicating and Promoting the Seventh Batch of Reform Pilot Experiences and Best Practice Cases of the China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone," introducing 19 reform pilot experiences and best practice cases for replication and promotion throughout the city.

The 19 best practice cases listed this time mainly focus on facilitating trade and investment, developing the digital economy, and optimising the business environment. They are characterised by Chongqing's distinctive features, emphasis on system integration, prominent leadership role, and significant reform achievements. Especially in serving as a pioneer area for high-quality development in the western region and a leading area for international cooperation in inland openness, they have released the energy of the free trade zone, solving a number of blockages and difficulties that business entities care about, and promoting the open development and optimisation and upgrading of the business environment of industrial clusters.  

Among them, in-depth implementation of the requirements of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on accelerating the construction of a system and mechanism that promotes the development of the digital economy, and improving the policy system that promotes digital industrialisation and industrial digitisation, the China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone has helped the city to create the first batch of national pilot zones for the innovative development of the digital economy, and has accelerated the creation of a first-class ecological environment for the development of the digital economy. A total of 8 digital economy innovation cases were selected, accounting for the largest proportion.
