The China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity is the third intergovernmental cooperation project between China and Singapore. Chongqing followed the two major themes of "modern connectivity" and "modern service economy", deepening its efforts in four key areas: financial services, aviation, transportation logistics, and information communication.
Over the past eight years, a total of 25.6 billion USD have been signed for government and commercial cooperation projects, with cross-border financing of 20.7 billion USD. The Chongqing-Singapore route operates 21 flights weekly, and the cumulative bilateral trade volume has reached 72 billion CNY. There are 151 new funded companies in Chongqing. Singapore has become the largest source of actual foreign investment in Chongqing, and Chongqing Singapore cooperation has shown vigorous vitality. Recently, multiple economic and trade exchanges and interactions between Chongqing and Singapore have been held in Singapore.

During the five-hour event, more than 50 Chinese and Singaporean enterprises discussed international trade, talent exchange, smart technology, information and communication, and reached a number of cooperation intentions. Enterprises of the two countries have indicated that they will further strengthen communication and implement cooperation intention projects at an early date.

Singapore has always been at the forefront of the world in the field of technological innovation. At the theme roundtable "How Technology Companies Take Off in Southeast Asia", Singaporean guests shared the successful experiences and major challenges that technology companies need to face in expanding markets in Southeast Asian countries, and encouraged Chongqing enterprises to come to Singapore to expand markets in Southeast Asia and even the world.

On May 29, the China Chongqing Life Science and Technology City and Hub Port Industrial Park Promotion Conference was held in Singapore, attracting more than 100 companies from multiple countries such as Singapore, Germany, and the United Kingdom to participate. A centralized signing ceremony for 12 key projects was held on-site, with a total signing amount exceeding 1 billion yuan, covering areas such as life technology, advanced equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, modern logistics, and supply chain services.
Asian Technology Conference
The 2024 Asian Technology Conference was held from May 29 to 31 at the Singapore Expo Center. To help Chongqing's software and information service enterprises better develop internationally and expand overseas markets, the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative Bureau, Chongqing Municipal Administration of Big Data Application and Development jointly organized 22 Chongqing companies to participate in the conference in Singapore and carried out a series of exchange and inspection activities.
