The day before the conference, Chongqing and San Salvador signed a friendship exchange and cooperation agreement. On the opening day of the conference, Chongqing signed friendship cities agreements with Addis Ababa of Ethiopia and Seville of Spain, as well as friendly exchanges and cooperation agreements with Baratpur of Nepal and North Dhaka of Bangladesh. At this point, the total number of international friendship cities and friendly exchange cities of Chongqing has reached a new high of 56 and 129 respectively.

31 Countries and 48 Friendship Cities
The conference has been participated by multiple countries with high levels of specifications, broad fields, outstanding characteristics. Representatives from 48 cities in 31 countries jointly released the Chongqing Consensus on Deepening International Friendship Cities Cooperation, reaching consensus on eight aspects; Representatives from participating countries unanimously agreed to launch the International Friendship Cities Cooperation Initiative for Biodiversity Conservation, advocating for strengthening international cooperation in biodiversity conservation and making positive contributions to global biodiversity conservation governance. A total of 13 friendship cooperation agreements were signed, including the conclusion of 2 formal friendship cities, the establishment of 3 friendship exchange cities relationships, and the signing of 3 annual friendship cooperation plan agreements; In terms of expanding cooperation in friendship cities, 14 cooperation agreements have been signed, covering multiple fields such as economic and trade industry, science and education, humanities, and tourism.
Partial Cooperation Projects
Chongqing signed a four party agreement with Sacramento, Sacramento Kings of NBA, and MEBO Group to jointly build a youth basketball training center in Chongqing.
Chongqing Business Vocational College signed an agreement with the Australian Vocational Education Association to share vocational education resources.
Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Nepal A&F University launched agricultural technology cooperation to promote the "going abroad" of Chongqing’s advantageous industries.
