Chongqing Starlight 68 Plaza, at the heart of Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street, offers 110,000 sqm of retail space.

By the end of 2023, accumulated more than 450,000 members, and provided more than 6,000 jobs.

In recent years, thanks to the increasing internationalization of Chongqing and the continuous improvement and optimization of the business environment, Starlight 68 Plaza has helped create Chongqing's international consumer market, develop the first store economy, and delivered new consumer experiences.

Launch a new city landmark


In 2023, Chongqing created new consumer experiences such as Starlight 68 plaza Star Guifang and Longmen Haolao Street. These efforts have been praised by the Ministry of Commerce. Starlight 68 Plaza also actively conforms to this trend, and constantly promotes upgrading and internationalization of the consumer environment.

The "Starlight Underwater World" in the atrium of B Area of Starlight 68 Plaza is currently the largest indoor 360-degree panoramic view around the column aquarium in the Mall of Asia. The viewing area has a diameter of 15 meters, a height of 8.3 meters, and can accommodate 1,500 tons of seawater, which runs through the LG floor to the third floor of the shopping center. It has more than 100 kinds of fish such as nurse shark, longtail ray, angelfish and other deep-sea fish such as coral.


The business environment has been continuously upgraded


Starlight 68 Plaza has been trading for more than 10 years, and while constantly experiencing the enthusiasm of Chongqing people, we are also the witnesses of continuous optimization of the business environment. For more than a decade, Chongqing governments at all levels have given great support to Starlight 68 Plaza. In recent years, we especially feel that Chongqing has made great improvements in the administrative examination and approval process, and the government's working efficiency is very high. Thanks to the continuous optimization of the business environment in Chongqing, Starlight 68 Plaza has made rapid progress in the development of Chongqing, and has also carried out the renovation project of Xing Kwai Fong in recent years. It can be said that the continuous optimization of the business environment in Chongqing has directly promoted our development.


Vigorously promote the first-store economy


Chongqing now attaches great importance to the economic development of the first store, and has specially introduced relevant policies, which has played a great role in cultivating and building an international consumer hub. Starlight 68 Plaza was Chongqing's first luxury shopping mall. After more than ten years of operating, Starlight 68 Plaza is home to a large number of international luxury brands. In 2022 alone, we will introduce more than 30 luxury jewelry, fashion, Michelin/Black Pearl restaurants, and night economy brands in Zone A, of which more than 40% are the first stores and flagship stores in the region. In particular, after the opening of Hall B of Starlight 68 Plaza, a full range of categories have been realized. Previously, for example, we only did heavy luxury and some retail, but after the opening of Hall B, a new trend "tide luxury" and some "entry luxury" of international brands have been added, which not only enriched the categories, but also added many "first stores" in Chongqing.


Create an international consumer network


The cable cars built in 1945 embody the unique characteristics of the mountain city and have left a significant mark on Chongqing's transportation history. Connecting the hillside, riverbanks, and opposite shores, they have witnessed the lives of Chongqing residents and demonstrate the city's vitality. The Starry Cable Car, nearly 200 meters long, is the first tram cable car to operate in a city's commercial shopping center in Chongqing. With dimensions of 6.7 meters in length, 2.5 meters in width, and 3.3 meters in height, this clanging and vintage tram car navigates through the bustling urban area, offering a glimpse of the city's most beautiful scenery within arm's reach. Since its debut, the Starry Cable Car has gained popularity among millions of locals and tourists from other provinces, frequently topping the trending lists on Weibo and Douyin. It has also collaborated with renowned brands such as Max MaraMaserati, self-portrait, ROSEONLY, and PANDA FACTORY, launching several cross-industry themed marketing campaigns, with exposure across the internet approaching 100,000,000 views.

 

The centre is home to over 100 businesses.  These include Louis Vuitton, the first Gucci store in Chongqing, Burberry, Van Cleef & Arpels  Bulgari, Tiffany&Co, Cartier, Ermenegildo Zegna, Emporio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Balmain and more than 30 other leading international brands,

It is also home to CAI LAN Hong Kong Dim Sum, the first store in southwest China, ReMINGLE, the first store in Chongqing, and other lifestyle brands.

It is actually the only shopping center in Chongqing and one of the few in China that brings together stores by Van Cleef & Arpels, CARTIER, BVLGARI, Tiffany&Co., BOUCHERON, and FRED.

In 2021, Starlight 68 Plaza B area opened. This focuses on luxury fashion and light luxury, creating a unique high-end boutique shopping experience for Chongqing and even Southwest China. It is home to about 100 brands. Brands include GENTLE MONSTER, ami, GOLDEN GOOSE, ISABEL MARANT, We11done, SMFK and other first store brands in Chongqing, Y3, LONG CHAMP, KENZO, MCM, COACH, TORY BURCH, MICHAEL KORS, MAXMARA WEEKEND, DAKS. It also offers global food and beverage experiences.
