The Ninth Meeting of the High-Level Working Matchmaking Meeting of the Joint Implementation Committee of the China-Singapore Connectivity Project (JIC) was held.
The ninth meeting of the High-Level Working Matchmaking Meeting of the Sino-Singapore Connectivity Project Joint Implementation Committee was held on March 27th.
The meeting discussed the main points of the work of the China-Singapore Connectivity Project in 2024, the arrangement of major events and the plan of activities for the 10th anniversary of the project, studied the program of the 9th meeting of the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) and the arrangement of related activities, and briefed on the institutional reforms and operation of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce (CMC) and Chongqing Municipal Administration of the China-Singapore Demonstration Project (CCDP).
Both sides agreed that in 2023, Chongqing and Singapore will promote the project along the direction of "high starting point, high level and innovative" with standardized and efficient interconnection, and the project's exemplary and leading nature will be more prominent.In 2024, the two sides will continue to implement the spirit of the seventh meeting of the Joint Coordinating Council at a high standard and promote the translation of the consensus on cooperation between the leaders of the two countries into concrete action programs.
We should pragmatically organize the ninth meeting of the Joint Implementation Committee, efficiently plan a series of major activities under the framework of the China-Singapore Connectivity Project, and solidly push forward the exchange of high-level visits between leaders of Chongqing and Singapore to achieve more results.
It is necessary to actively prepare for the series of work for the 10th anniversary of the project, set up a special working group by both sides, promote a series of Sino-Singapore bilateral mechanism meetings to be held in Chongqing, push forward a number of key cooperation projects to achieve landmark results, and fully and comprehensively demonstrate the results of the cooperation of the China-Singapore Connectivity Project.
We should work together to deepen cooperation on key demonstration projects, vigorously promote innovative and institutional financial cooperation projects between China and Singapore to be piloted in Chongqing, continue to increase the number of flights between Chongqing and Singapore to promote bilateral people-to-people exchanges, accelerate the construction of the core area of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Multi-Modal Transportation Demonstration Project, and guide the enterprises of Chongqing and Singapore to continuously enrich the new scenes and new business forms of digital cooperation.
To further deepen the construction of new land and sea corridors, focusing on the planning and implementation of corridor cooperation, to promote the corridor infrastructure "hard connectivity", rules and regulations of the "soft connectivity" and the digital channel, green channel construction and other aspects of sustained efforts.
