Convenient New Measures for International Visitors

The National Immigration Administration officially implemented five measures to facilitate foreigners to come to China from January 11:

01

Relaxing the conditions for foreigners applying for port visas in China.

Foreigners engaged in urgent non-diplomatic and official activities such as business cooperation, visits, investments, entrepreneurship, visiting relatives, and personal affairs, who are unable to obtain visas abroad in time, can apply for port visas upon arrival at the port visa authority with relevant supporting documents such as invitation letters.

02

Direct transit without inspection procedures for foreigners at hub airports like Beijing Capital Airport for 24 hours.

Foreigners transiting through 9 international airports including Beijing Capital, Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Pudong, Hangzhou Xiaoshan, Xiamen Gaoqi, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen Baoan, Chengdu Tianfu, and Xian Xianyang within 24 hours with international connecting flights to third countries or regions can be exempted from border inspection procedures and directly transit without a visa.

03

Foreigners in China requiring multiple entries and exits can apply for re-entry visas.

For foreigners in China needing multiple entries and exits for legitimate reasons, they can apply to the local exit-entry administration for a multiple-entry visa by presenting relevant supporting documents such as invitation letters.
